PBR Layers

PBR Layers makes it quick and easy to create your own PBR materials mixing system using simple shader nodes to create layers from PBR texture sets, and PBR Mix nodes which can use simple blend factors or a height-based comparison for the highest quality pixel-level blending.

The PBR Layer Manager allows for single-click creation and connection of PBR Layer nodes, PBR Mix nodes, and finalizing to a Principled BSDF node.

All you need are some good PBR texture sets and for that, I recommend PolyHaven.com where you'll find a vast resource of PBR textures available for free and you don't even have to sign up.

Installation Instructions:

To install the addon:

1. In Blender, click on Edit, then Preferences.
2. Click on Addons, then Install.
3. Browse to your downloaded PBR Layers Manager.ZIP file, select it, and click Install.
4. Enable the addon.
5. The PBR Layer Manager will appear in the Properties panel of the Shader Node Editor.
